Como de costume nas edições do Fórum Social Mundial, representantes do movimento de paz participaram da Caminhada de Abertura. Na ocasião, entoavam belas canções, como a que diz que reine a paz e acabem as fronteiras, nós somos um!

Visível revitalização da Praça da Alfândega

Foi retirada a capa asfáltica que cobria os antigos paralelepípedos da Avenida Sepúlveda, na Praça da Alfândega.
A revitalização da praça central do bairro faz parte de um projeto do Monumenta, que busca deixar o local como era na década de 30, ou seja, mais arejado e com mais entrada de luz.
Algumas árvores, inclusive, já foram removidas.

It was retired the cap of asphalt that covered old stones on Sepúlveda Av, Alfandega Square. The new life of the borough central square makes part of a project Monumenta, that tries to let the place as it was in the thirties,or better,more airy and with more light. Some trees,besides,have already been removed.

Novo acesso à Estação Mercado do Trensurb

Quem vai e vem de trem para os eventos do Fórum Social Mundial na Região Metropolitana e o acessa pela Estação Mercado pode perceber a nova porta de entrada, de vidro.
Segundo alguns funcionários do Mercado Público, parte do vidro já foi, infelizmente, rachada por âmbulos.

New access to Trensurb Market Station

Whoever comes and goes by train to the World Social Forum events in the metropolitan region and accesses it through the market station can notice the new entrance made of glass.
According to some staffs, part of the glass have already been damaged by passers by.

Situação de prédio provoca interdição

A EPTC interditou parten das Ruas Riachuelo e Marechal Floriano, no último dia 22. O motivo foi a precária condição deste prédio. A Secretaria Municipal de Obras e Viação fará um escoramento, para o prédio não cair para frente.
Na primeira edição sobre o Fórum Social Mundial 2010, que circulou a partir do dia 20, o Jornal do Centro noticiou a situação precária e perigosa deste prédio..

Condition of a building provoques its closure

EPTC closed part of the streets Riachuelo and Mal.Floriano, last 22. The reason was the precary conditions of this building. SMOV-The Municipal Boarding of Building constructions will put a kind of protection to prevent the building from falling down.
In the first edition about the WSF2010 that circulated from Jan 20th, Jornal do Centro warned about this danger.
