O velho problema das calçadas

Prezados Senhores.
Sou morador do Centro, na Rua dos Andradas. Venho observando há um bom tempo que a obrigação de manter a calçada em bom estado para o bom acesso das pessoas não esta sendo fiscalizado pela prefeitura. Estou me referindo a casos como na Rua Gen. Portinho com Andradas (calçada de Responsabilidade do Ministério da Marinha com o passeio irregular). A SMOV é a responsável pela fiscalização e não está atuando como deveria para garantir os direitos dos transeuntes. Agradeço a atenção.

The old problem of sidewalks

Dear Sir.
  I live in Porto Alegre, downtown, on Andradas Street. I have been watching for a long time that the obligation of keeping the sidewalk in a good condition for the good access of people is not being inspected by the Municipal Government. I refer to cases like on Gen. Portinho St with Andradas (sidewalk of Navy Ministery´s responsibility) with an uneven pavement. The SMOV is responsible for the inspection and it is not acting as it should to guarantee the passers-by rights.
